People ask for skatepark of tampa and the shorter tampa skatepark. What I wanted was one address and a straight answer about what is actually on the lot. The address was the easy part. Hours and prices used to fight each other on the park’s own pages—now the live card is clearer, and you should still confirm at the shop before you pay.
From east of Ybor, SPoT is a short I-4 hop when someone wants to ride—not a downtown Riverwalk stop. Last updated: November 2, 2026.

Exact Address and the Exit That Matters
The park’s exact address is 4215 East Columbus Drive, Tampa, FL 33605-3202—a Tampa ZIP, not St. Petersburg. The park’s own directions say it is one exit east of Ybor City off Interstate 4. That is the useful part. From north or south: I-4 to exit 3 (50th Street / Columbus Drive). Coming off I-4 East: left at the first light onto Columbus, then less than half a mile—park on the left at 4215. From I-4 West: follow the Columbus Drive sign; again on the left, less than half a mile. From Highway 60 on the east side: U.S. 41 / 50th Street north to Columbus, left, then about a mile on the left.
One west-side approach disagrees with itself: Courtney Campbell → I-275 → I-4 East → exit 3 → left on Columbus → park on the left, versus a Tampa Road / Hillsborough / 40th Street version that puts the park a quarter mile down on the right. Left in one set, right in another, same street number. Trust the number and exit 3. Do not trust a single “it’s on your left” once you are on Columbus.
This is not a casino, Bucs stadium, Lightning arena, AMC, hotel, or concert hall. Those addresses are not 4215 East Columbus Drive.
What Is on the Property
Going by how the park describes itself: a skate shop, a snack bar, an indoor bowl, and outdoor concrete. SPoT Skateshop at Skatepark of Tampa was established in 1993 and has shipped online since 1997—inventory live, usually ships within one business day. Free shipping on orders of $93 or more (cannot combine with other discounts). In kids’ morning-session rules (when that window is running), ages 13 and up may ride the cement courtyard and indoor bowl only during the early window. The rate card talks about a bowl and a concrete course—same idea in different words. Birthday parties get a designated snack-bar area. Nobody publishes square footage or an obstacle count, so I am not inventing one.
Riding rules are clearer than the floor plan. Skateboards, roller skates, inlines, and scooters are permitted every day. BMX is not every-day—Wednesdays and Sundays for full sessions; other days the bowl and concrete course only at the BMX day rate. Full pads encouraged for everyone. Everyone except skateboarders must wear a helmet, even over 18. Waiver required for everyone. Under 18: a parent or legal guardian over 18 must be with you, or bring a printed waiver that has been notarized.
Hours and Rates: What Changed From Older Cards
When I first researched SPoT, the park posted conflicting cards—one with noon–8 p.m. weekday sessions and $8/$10 non-member prices, another with $20 days and $100/$500 memberships, plus a dated “August 10–December 20” block with no year. That conflict is why my notes refused to pick a door price.
Current published regular hours (August 10–December 20, 2026): Monday–Friday one session 2 p.m.–9 p.m.; Saturday 11 a.m.–9 p.m.; Sunday 11 a.m.–6 p.m. BMX permitted all day Wednesday and Sunday. Hours can still change for holidays and special events—ask at the shop.
Non-member skate: $20 all day every day; last hour of every session half price; military, police, paramedics, and firefighters half price with valid ID ($10).
$100 membership (skate): $10 admission; free shirt (up to $30 value); sticker pack; free the day you sign up; free on your birthday with a friend; free Mondays (“Membership Mondays”); free first Friday of the month; one free private lesson ($50 value); 10% off programs.
$500 membership (skate): framed as free skating all year with passes and lesson perks—confirm current math at the shop.
BMX non-member: $20 all day Wednesday and Sunday; $10 other days for bowl and concrete course only; last hour half price; first-responder half price with ID.
Old Man Tuesday: ages 30+ skate for $5 every third Tuesday of the month.
Private lessons: $50/hour on the rate card. Private park rental: 8 p.m.–11 p.m. excluding event days; $300 for three hours; $100 each extra hour; limited to 20 people; $15 each additional person—email info@skateparkoftampa.com.
Birthday parties: check current member/non-member package prices at the shop; book ahead; pad/helmet/board rental often included for the birthday kid.
Group lessons and after-school sessions still appear on older cards with different dollar amounts—confirm the live program board rather than an archived screenshot.
Contests and Stale Dates
SPoT still promotes contests (Tampa Am, Tampa Pro, Damn Am, girls’ meetups) and sells Am tickets through Will Call. When I researched, some pages still showed 2024 contest dates. Treat year-old dates as history, not your weekend plan. Buy tickets for the date printed on the Will Call product, not a memory of last year’s flyer. A Rays-game retail promo the park ran is a shop discount—not a reason to think the skatepark is at the ballpark.
For a downtown art day instead of concrete, see Tampa Museum of Art. Flying in first? TPA. Broader weekend plans: things to do in Tampa.
Tips From Checking the Park
Trust 4215 East Columbus and I-4 exit 3. Confirm which hours card is on the door the week you go—especially around August and December when the “regular hours” window flips. Budget $20 for a non-member skate day unless you are in the last hour or have first-responder ID. Fill the digital waiver before you arrive; if the rider is under 18, bring the parent or a notarized printout. Helmets for everyone who is not on a skateboard. Do not mix this address with stadium or casino day plans.

Final Thoughts
SPoT is a real Tampa skatepark with a shop and a bowl—not a downtown tourist stop. I would go back with the waiver already done and cash/card ready for the $20 day rate, and I would double-check BMX day before packing a bike.
If you want food after, Ybor is the nearby historic-district option. For a water-park day instead of concrete, see Adventure Island—and confirm that seasonal calendar separately.
